Jewllery Party

WOW...
I just had my first little jewellery party wiht some friends and friends of friends. It was great. I was pleasantly surprised over the awe and interest in my creations. I will now be a busy bee between here and xmas with some orders I have collected. I have updated my websit on some of the items I sold today.

A huge thankyou to my awesome friend and PR rep.. thanx so much for the flowers they are awesome .... bought a tear to my eye on what an awesome friend I have in you...

Completed 75cm blue rope

I finally was able toget some time to finish the blue rope. It has ended up being 75 cm long. Now i will put it with the rope pile to be made into a piece of jewllery. I wonder what it will end up as.

I was a little disappointed with the small seed beads as the colour has come off... I totally didnt expect that to happen, it hasnt happened with any other beads. SO instead of being turquoise and metalic blue beads it looks more like blue and silver.

The Green/Orange is finshed ready to be made into a necklace with beads and wire.
So far the blue is almostas long and no where near being finshed... I hope it is long enough to make a nice lariat with...

latest acquirement

Today we went for a family drive to Dorrigo and Belligen. What a great day it turned out to be. We did the bush walk at the National Parks centre and then took a stroll through Dorrigo before returning home with a stop over in Belligen to look at the shops and do some chrissy shopping.
From two shops I got these beautiful beads I plan on using them as focal peices in my work... Yes I know what will she make. My mind is a buzz with the millions of things that I can do with them....

I visualize placing a heart in the center of the ones with the big holes, using wire and some other beads.... we will see what I come up with.

These are two of my projects I have on the go. One is Lime green with an orange crossover pattern and the other is two different sized beads which create the spiral effect of two necklaces twisted. I plan on making a small choker out of the green one. Out of the blue I am thinking a long Lariat necklace with beaded tassels on the end. Will see what happens when I have finished the ropes.. Never Know where or how they will end up.

Today number two is at a birthday party at a play centre, so while i wait i bought a long some beads and string. The beads have been strung to reveal a christmas theme as i crochet so far the pattern is appearing as I want it too..

This is another one of my creations - a Baby Pink and plum, barcelett and necklace set. I enjoyed making this one and have for the first time used wire to connect the beads to the crochetted beads. I love seeing my creations come together and am amazed at how nice they seem to me.

What are your thoughts? I am a beginner at this. Would you buy one of my creations? Do you have any suggestions on improvements or designs I could try...

Latest Projects

Yes I know another project... I always have three or four different projects on the go.. I make crochet necklaces - an idea I got from my friend Frances, who had one given to her as a present. I have been thinking lately about making bracletts and today I had a go.. I have made two. The first (the purple one I decided to try two strands, and the second was a black one, i made it slightly too big but then realised how i made the join it is adjustable, provided you like dangles....




Also I have made the first name will get my friends approval that it is what she wanted then I will make the others:

Challenge

A good friend of mine has set me a challenge to make cut out name tags in the shape of the names of the girls she is going away with this weekend. So I have put on hold painting the boxes to creat four name tags ....

Latest on Boys Display Boxes

Hi All....

The boys are some what distracted so I managed to take photos of the display boxes so far.

Cut pieces of cardboard for inserts:

Tomorrow I will pull out inserts and paint the boxes. I will also line the bottom with some black felt.

Re: Boys xmas present display boxes..

Just an update I have ahd a fun afternoon making the inserts and fixing the lids for the display boxes. I can't take a picture just eyt as the boys are home from school.. Will up load the lastest pics tomorrow when i begin painting them... (if I don't get called into work....

Christmas is coming....

Well Christmas will soon be upon us... I cannot believe another year is almost done.

Just thought I would shar with you a project I am about to begin.
My two beautiful boys love to collect gem stones, currently they store them in their treasure box which is litaerally like a Pirates treasure box. I went looking today for a display box.. was unable to find exactly what i wanted - my solution is to adapt the closest box I can.. So I found a cigar box, I will cut a whole in the lid, add some clear plastic sheet, make partitions and line it with black felt. When that is doen I will paint it and decorate them individually.
I will keep you posted on my prgress. In the mean time here is a picture of the beginning...
